Michigan's Canned Film Festival see a free movie tonight Thursday 11/11/10 at MJR

Details directly from the site: MJR Digital Cinemas, in conjunction with 93.1 Doug-FM and 96.3 WDVD, will host the Canned Film Festival on Thursday, November 11. Movie goers are encouraged to bring five cans of food to any MJR Digital Cinema (excluding their Adrian location) and see a movie for free, that day only any time from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. All food donations will benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank. It’s a “win-win” situation to help feed the area’s hungry while getting to see a first-run movie!
Kroger Challenge:

For every Kroger brand canned good donated, Kroger will MATCH the donations up to $1,000! Last year’s Canned Film Festival was highly successful with over 8,000 people attending the five MJR Digital Cinemas and donating 45,000 pounds of food!

  1. Nice post,
Some ideas to decorate in style include: life size cut outs of famous actresses and actors, movie reel tins centerpieces (type 'movie reel centerpiece' in search), large clapboards that you personalize, 'walk of fame' stars (you could make your own and include family and friends names on them), and of course balloons with a Hollywood theme.
    Thanks.
