More directly from the website about them: About Snook's Butcher Shoppe

Snook's Butcher Shoppe was opened in 1979 by Ken and Barb Snook. One of Ken's first after school jobs as a teenager was at a small butcher shop in Detroit. While he never inteded to pursue a long-term career in the industry, Ken fell in love with the trade. After learning the ropes by working for different butcher shops as well as packing houses, Ken decided to open his own store. The orignial Snook's Butcher Shoppe, which was also located in Highland, MI, was a small, start-up business that quickly made a name for itself because Ken and Barb focused on providing fantastic service and quality meat.

In 1989, Ken received an invitation to move Snook's Butcher Shoppe inside of Colasanti's Produce & Plants. In November 2007, Snook's purchased Colasanti's and the two separate stores became one.
Snook's proudly offers USDA Choice Black Angus Beef, Bell & Evans Hormone-Free & Antibiotic-Free Chicken, Grade A Natural Pork, Fresh Seafood delivered three times each week, Homemade Fresh & Smoked Sausages, Piedmontese Hormone-Free & Antibiotic-Free Beef, Gourmet Heat n' Eat Dishes, and more!
