Coupon Katarina has this clear definition on here page: A Catalina (Cat) is a reward you receive for purchasing participating items. It will print in the form of a coupon at checkout and you can use it like cash for your next shopping trip. For example, Buy (3) boxes of cereal to receive a $3 coupon good on your next order.
You will usually find hanging tags under the participating item stating the requirements for generating a Catalina, or you’ll receive an advertisement for them in the form of a Catalina.

You can go here to see her full list.  When you shop other stores be sure to check to see if you get Catalinas.  As she stated there are some that are manufacturer driven and thus will work at all grocery stores while others are specific store promotions and will only work at Krogers.  So keep your eyes peeled!
