  1. Concerning Colasantis:
"Come join our store-family" That's a laugh! I've been a good & regular customer for years & was shocked at the rude treatment I received yesterday by Erin. I buy several pkgs of pierogis at a time, refrigerate 1 & throw rest in freezer until I need them. The last pkg I took out of the freezer looked funny after they thawed. I decided to not cook them. By the time I could take them back, a few days later, they were black w/mold. I was essentially accused of lying & just having them in the 'fridge too long. She insisted I had to have a receipt - why would I keep a receipt when I have no intention of taking anything back? Plus as I told her, I buy multiple pkgs at a time & freeze them. Any other store - Kroger, Meijer, etc., - has never hassled us over any (rare) problem, & quickly refunds or exchanges. No, not Colasanti's, now that it's under Snook rule!
This isn't the 1st time I've been insulted here - but it will be the LAST!
Snook himself doubted my insistence that an email went out, as well as a store flyer, giving $1 off Global Warming salsas at a Sample Fest last year. We bought 6 or 8 of them, taking advantage of the savings. I was made to stand outside his office for over 1/2 an hour while he argued, denied & finally looked up what I was talking about. Did he apologize? No, of course not! What a rude & arrogant man! But I let it go & still continued to shop here.
So, Erin & Mr Snook, is it worth losing a very good, regular customer over a $4.99 pkg of pierogis that cost you probably around $2-$3? If you're idiot business people with no clue in customer relations, apparently so! You will also lose the business of my friends & family...everyone I spread word of this incident to!
I owned a West Bloomfield art gallery for many years & would NEVER treat a regular customer like this. Even some of my most aggravating customers I'd bend over backwards for to keep their business. I dealt in the hundreds & thousands of dollars of merchandise & sometimes had to "eat" a large part of my profit to accomodate a client occasionally. Your concern over a piddly $5 pierogis exchange is shocking! And to insinuate that I was lying -
OUTRAGEOUS! I've had to throw expensive meat out before because I've not cooked it in time. I'd never dream of making a retailer pay for my own mistake! I was a retailer & know how things are. Those pierogis were thawed a day before I was going to cook them! Is $5 a big deal to me? No - remember I'm the well-dressed lady driving a Jaguar, so $5 isn't going to break me. But to be insulted the way I've been insulted twice now....I'm DONE!
