Grocery Store Roll Call 01/01/2010

Well this one is going to be a little different since I am going to have a summary of savings (true savings) and then what I spent out of pocket due to using free mone at CVS and Target.  I had a free gift card from Target that I am still working on and I won a $50 gift card from Target at work!  So I must admit the true savings may be a little less as I splurged a little!

CVS #1
Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner (1 each) 2/$7.00
Ice Mountain Water $4.49
2 Nature’s Bounty Melatonin Buy One Get One Free $8.99
1 Motions Oil Moisturizer $3.79
1 Motions Shampoo $3.99
1 Proline Hair Food $4.79

Coupons: $5 off any purchase $30 or more, $1 off Pantene, $2 off Pantene, 2 $1/Nature’s Bounty
23.95 in ECBs

However $.60 was paid off my free gift card and thus all was free!
Total Saved: $46.92

Received $13 in ECBs

Kroger (Grand Blanc Kroger that doubles coupons up $1)
Number of Items purchased: 33
Total Spent: $24.20
Total Saved: $79.09
Percentage Saved: 76.5%

Target
Number of Items purchased: ??
Total Spent: $45.29 (off of my gift card)
Total Saved: $40.50
Percantage Saved: 47.21%
Received 2 - $5 gift cards to use on next order

VGs
Number of Items purchased: 45
Total Spent: $62.94
Total Saved: $60.59
Percentage Saved: 48.9%
Received coupon for $1.50 off my next order

Meijer's
Number of Items purchased: 37
Total Spent: $16.49
Total Saved $29.10
Percentage Saved: 63.8%

So I bought $405.72 worth of groceries for $149.52 precent for an actual savings of 63.2%.  However, by using the Target gift card gift card I really spent out of pocket $104.23.  So my actual savings were 74.3% by grocery shopping at a place that I had a gift card to.  I did spend a lot this week but I am stocked up on most everything and got lots of vitamins and organic food.  And I still have close to $15 free to stretch at Target!
